On the Upside

Hola! Here's a few highlights from my past week, day by day.

As you can see, I cut my hair! We'll address that later, so let's rewind a bit.

MONDAY

I was a returning guest on the Los Angeles Tribune: Amazon Live Leadership Panel ( say that 10x fast). We talked about building a legacy. The majority of my input was that legacy is knowledge. Knowledge is the one thing no one can take from you. It's what we need to become successful and enlightened. You can always learn something new and teach someone the keys once you have them. I was so grateful to share my input with such an esteemed panel. I'm also glad that I've built a great relationship with the owner of the publication. Just another example of why you always keep an open mind for opportunity.

TUESDAY

Roberto took some nice content shots for Lusso Vitale. Demetre and their friend Lauren, modeled for me. Inclusion and creativity are the core of my brand, so it's amazing to showcase a male and a woman who uses a wheelchair. When I say this brand is for everyone, it's for everyone. Beauty has no boundaries!

WEDNESDAY

I started creating content for my very extra Valentine's giveaway for Lusso Vitale. I partnered with 14 small businesses to gift their goodies and sets of nails to our followers.

I have so much inventory, I just want to get product in people's hands. This will be the last giveaway I do for a while, so I wanted it to be big!

Going forward, the focus will be scouting micro influencers to make posts and videos with the nails. I'll also be hiring a social media manager because I literally can't do it all on my own.

THURSDAY

I had a breakdown. Trying to do everything at once... I hit a brick wall. I had been living in this bubble of "this is fine" like that dog meme... I allowed myself to get so overwhelmed, I became mentally paralyzed.

Here's how that happens:

1. You have a full plate, so you try to consume it all at once, so you don't have to deal with it anymore.

2. When you try to do it all, you get so overwhelmed, you don't have the energy to do anything!

3. When you don't do anything, you feel like a failure and question everything you've ever done leading you to this point.

4. You know that in order to not be a failure, you have to do all the things!

5. You break down.

Lmao. This doesn't only relate to business... this is real life!

Sometimes, we need reflection in the form of crying, screaming, metal music and whiskey (speaking from experience). It's cool! Let it all out so you can move on! The moral of this story is patience, dear Watson. Repeat after me... you cannot do everything in a day! You cannot do everything by yourself! Shit takes time. The best you can do is write down everything that's stressing you out, then create a plan of action for accomplishing those goals.

ONE STEP AT A TIME.

FRIDAY

I didn't so SHIT and it felt SOOOO GOOD. No work, minimal phone, mostly eating and taking in the sun.

Kids, take advantage of nap time. A full day of rest is hard to come by as an adult.

SATURDAY

I cut my hair! No, not because of the breakdown, but because I'm tired of having things on my head for now and my hair was finally the length for a bob. I'm also growing out my undercut after 3 years!

Maybe I'll do a whole blog of my hair journey.

Also, my girl Brittany came up from San Diego.

We used to work together and our birthdays are 2 days apart, so we're sooo much alike! She's such a ball of light, and has also been overcoming some tough times, so it was nice to express realism with someone who gets it. We had a wonderful two days of venting and healing. It was such an uplifting experience. It's so crucial to surround yourself with people that vibrate at the same frequency as you.

SUNDAY

I ended the week on a great note.

Honestly, went from "okay" to "numb", to "let's get to work." And that's showbiz.

Haha!

Lorna and I got together to plan some upcoming partnership ideas. I'm currently sorting out my social media plan to get some pressure off of me.

It's time to make some real money moves and stay socially balanced.

All responsibilities and no play makes Talia literally lose it haha.

I can't wait to shake my butt at Rachel's pahhhtay! I haven't seen her since Big Bear, so it will be great to catch up and relieve some stress with the gang gang.

See y'all on the flipside.
